2024 Marked a Pivotal Year in the Company's Transformation and Portfolio Evolution

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts Expands Globally, Returning to the U.S. with Two New Miami Hotels: Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore and Iberostar Waves Miami Beach, Both in the Heart of South Beach.

2024 was a pivotal year for Iberostar's hotel portfolio evolution and growth. Phil Mc Aveety, the CEO of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, highlighted, "These openings are a significant step in our global expansion plan. Situated in a prime international destination by the ocean, and offering Iberostar's signature high-quality services, these hotels demonstrate our commitment to providing a fresh value proposition and advancing sustainable tourism."

Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore, which started operating under the Iberostar Waves brand last December, is housed in a 1940s building that retains its iconic art deco architecture. It features 96 rooms, a heated pool, and a rooftop solarium with sea views, plus a specialty restaurant. Meanwhile, Iberostar Waves Miami Beach became part of the Iberostar Waves collection in January 2025, offering 82 rooms. This hotel caters to both families and business travelers with its meeting room and proximity to Miami's convention center. Both properties have implemented energy-efficient upgrades and sustainable practices in line with the chain's sustainability goals.

These new hotels are just steps away from the beach and landmarks like Lincoln Road Mall, ideal for shopping or art gallery visits, the New World Center, home to the New World Symphony, and Ocean Drive in South Beach, among other city highlights.

Joining these openings is Joia Aruba by Iberostar, which opened last December, and two more hotels set to open in April 2025: Iberostar Selection Mirage Hammamet in Tunisia and Iberostar Selection Es Trenc in Mallorca.
